I went to my grandparents for Thanksgiving and my cousin shocked me with the best thing he’s ever offered to me in the history of time.

He said if we wanted we could move up to Pennsylvania, bunk with him in his big ass house, and he’d help us get there.

And there’s jobs

 

That would be rather awesome. Finally getting away from where I’ve been for most of my life, and I’d have a larger chance of actually finding a job. Not to mention there are nice art schools in PA. Even better, it puts us closer to conventions, giving me a possibility to go to them and set up a booth or some shit. 

I really want to do this. I haven’t been to any state besides Texas or Louisiana. Hell I lived in Oklahoma for a year but I was too young to even remember. I just really want a change of scenery.

Oh, and I’d be able to make new friends

There I go again seeing myself ashamed
I try and I try but am I to be blamed?
The way the pencil moves, it feels so wonky
Still and ill-prepared with the awkward grace of a monkey
I sketch then review, spot the flaws
but when it’s all said and done, and I take a moments pause
I see my failure has blossomed once more
Where do I hang my shame, and show myself to the door.
